What it is
L-Arginine AKG (alpha-ketoglutarate) is arginine bound to alpha-ketoglutarate in a 2:1 ratio — a form specifically chosen for how it's absorbed and metabolized compared to plain L-Arginine.
How it works
Alpha-ketoglutarate is itself an intermediate in cellular energy metabolism (the Krebs cycle), and pairing it with arginine is associated with improved absorption and a more extended release of arginine into circulation, compared to free-form arginine alone.
Why it's in the formula
