What it is
Beta-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid best known in sports nutrition for muscular endurance. In MemoClear, it's included specifically for a different downstream effect: its relationship to carnosine.
How it works
Beta-Alanine combines with the amino acid L-Histidine to form carnosine, a dipeptide studied for its antioxidant properties — specifically its ability to buffer reactive byproducts that accumulate during normal cellular metabolism, sometimes called oxidative stress.
Why it's in the formula
Circulation and cellular energy production, the roles the other five ingredients play, both involve active metabolic processes that naturally generate some oxidative byproducts. Beta-Alanine's inclusion is meant to help offset that, rounding out MemoClear with a protective mechanism rather than a purely activating one.
Safety notes
Some people notice a temporary tingling sensation (paresthesia) after taking beta-alanine, particularly at higher single doses. It's considered harmless and dose-dependent. As with any new supplement, those who are pregnant, nursing, or managing a medical condition should confirm suitability with a doctor first.
