What it is
Niacin, or Vitamin B3, is an essential water-soluble vitamin the body cannot produce in meaningful quantities on its own. It's one of the most thoroughly studied B-vitamins.
How it works
Niacin is a direct precursor to NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a coenzyme central to the electron transport chain inside mitochondria — the process cells use to convert nutrients into usable energy. Neurons are especially energy-demanding, making reliable NAD+ availability relevant to sustained mental stamina.
Why it's in the formula
While the arginine and citrulline sources address blood flow, niacin addresses what happens once oxygen and nutrients actually arrive at a neuron: whether that cell has the energy machinery to use them. It's also studied for supporting healthy microcirculation.
Safety notes
At high doses, niacin can cause a temporary, harmless flush (skin warmth and redness) and can affect liver enzymes or interact with certain cholesterol medications. Supplement-level doses used in MemoClear are well below levels associated with those effects, but anyone with liver conditions should check with a doctor first.
